John is a retired human resources executive and consultant who's wife, a UCC minister, introduced him to helping churches with their financial, administrative and facility operations. He joined Hillcrest UCC in 2024 assuming responsibility for the financial administration and grounds/building management. Before Hillcrest he worked with churches in CA, MA and CT. He and his wife, Carla reside in West Sacramento where they are close to her daughter and family. His two sons and families reside in Minneapolis, MN and Watertown, NY. 

An avid and recognized bird photographer, he and Carla enjoy hiking the trails of California with all their beauty and wildlife. His other interests include gardening and choral singing.
