Healing Touch

We are a group of volunteers dedicated to helping our community by providing an energy modality called Healing Touch (HT). We have been trained by THE HEALING PROGRAM™, WORLDWIDE LEADERS IN ENERGY MEDICINE, Creating Healing Relationships; and adhere to its Code of Ethics, and Scope of Practice. The Haelen* Center is presented by the Care Ministry of Hillcrest Congregational Church, UCC, 404 Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. No fee is charged. Donations are welcomed.

What is Healing Touch?

Healing Touch is a nurturing, compassionate energy therapy. Its providers consciously work in a heart-centered and intentional way with a gentle, light or above body touch to enhance, support, and facilitate physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and support the natural self-healing ability that everyone has.

Background of Healing Touch Program™

Healing Touch™ was founded by Janet Mentgen, BSN, RN in 1989 as a continuing education program for nurses and other health care professionals. It is now used as a complementary or integrative modality in hospitals, hospices, and is used by health care professionals and trained non-medical people in a variety of settings.

Our Setting for Healing Touch Appointments

Our sessions are set in a quiet, peaceful environment to create a safe and sacred place for the HT treatments typically lasting between 45 and 75 minutes. The recipient lies fully clothed on a massage table or is seated in a chair.

Appointments: 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM,

1st and 3rd Saturdays at 9:00 AM
