Hillcrest Congregational Church

Godly Play is a Montessori-based curriculum for children grades k-5. Classes are held each Sunday during the 10:30 a.m. service.

Many churches say that children are the future of the church, but at Hillcrest we say that they are the church RIGHT NOW! They are welcome here and are encouraged to grow here and contribute to the spiritual life of the community. We value children for who they are already as well as for who they are becoming. Our programs affirm the individual child in their spiritual development and awareness of the world around them.

Godly Play is s combination of prayer, story, reflection, feast, and blessing that tells the stories of the Bible through beautiful handmade materials while a storyteller captures the imagination of the children listening. During each class period, the children can choose any material or art medium for a quiet reflection period.
